FUND DEVELOPMENT committee
Responsible for annual campaigns and fundraising events, the Fund Development Committee and sub-committees work to ensure that the foundation reaches its fundraising targets in order to support existing and future program development.
Events COMMITTEE
The Events Committee plans and oversees programs and events designed to preserve and celebrate the story of the Famous 5. This includes legacy events & new initiatives such as International Women’s Day (March 8), ‘Persons’ Day (October 18), Canada Day (July 1), Election Rallies for female candidates and various youth programmes. In addition, the committee plans and organizes leadership events in support of today’s female leaders, such as the Virtual Pink Tea series.
95TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION COMMITTEE
October 18, 2024 will be the 95th Anniversary of the historic ‘Persons’ Case verdict.

Satellite speaker series Committees
The Famous 5 Foundation has satellite committees in Ottawa, and Sarnia. All locations, in addition to Calgary are proud to present the Enbridge Famous 5 Speakers Series.
F5F OTTAWA CHAPTER
Prior to COVID, the F5F Ottawa Committee held a series of lunches and receptions honouring prominent women who lead.
In previous Aprils and Junes, events were held to celebrate women who have made contributions at the national and international levels. Past speakers have included: Louise Arbour, Hazel McCallion, Sheila Copps, Pamela Wallin, Flora McDonald, Jean Augustine, Hayley Wickenheiser, as well as female Senators.
This Chapter has hosted events recognizing the recipients of the Governor General’s ‘Persons’ Case Award.

F5F SARNIA CHAPTER
Our five keynote speakers addressed community and global issues. Speakers talked candidly about their careers, and the passion, vision and determination that drive them.
In relating their lives, we learned about challenges as well as triumphs; humorous incidents and stories of loss; humbling moments of reflection and inspiring calls to action.
